My name is Samuel Oruh and I am an IT Generalist and a dedicated cybersecurity professional with a background in law enforcement. I hold a Bachelors of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Computer-based Information Systems & Analysis Management and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Cybersecurity. I have over 10 years of experience in law enforcement, which has helped him develop skills in technical support, customer service, and leadership. My relevant skills include technical support and troubleshooting, ticketing systems, user training and support, operating systems installation, software installation and configuration, customer service, Windows, Linux, Domain Name System (DNS), networking, system administration, physical security, law enforcement, report documentation, adaptability, and consistency.

I have held various positions in physical security, law enforcement, IT, and management including as a Special Police Officer at the MedStar Washington Hospital Center (MWHC), a Level 1 Trauma Hospital; as a Security Supervisor (with the rank of Lieutenant) at MVM Security, a contractor for the National Institutes of Health (NIH); as the Director of Systems Operations at Ultra Home Health Agency, LLC, a contractor for the District of Columbia Department of Health, Department of Health Care Finance (DC DOH DHCF); as an Armed Security Control Center Operations Officer at SecTek, Inc., a contractor of the United States Patent & Trade Office (USPTO); as a Shift Supervisor/Access Control Officer at Securitas, a contractor for the Fairfax County, Virginia County Courthouse Complex, and as a Corrections/Jail Officer at the Rappahannock Regional Jail (RRJ).

As a first responder, I served as the primary point of contact for all emergencies on the hospital's campus. My responsibilities included conducting regular patrols of the hospital premises to identify any irregularities or security breaches, as well as inspecting and interacting with employees, visitors, and security equipment such as fire control systems. Additionally, I maintained all necessary security-related documents, forms, logs, and reports.
